Goa Tattoo Festival 2018: Stunning photographs capture the essence of Goa’s tattoo party
With tattoo conventions on the rise in the Indian calendar, it is becoming more and more imperative for the folks of the tattooed tribe to choose their favourites, and make plans accordingly, because travelling to all of them is definitely a financially taxing affair. And even if not, the amount of partying can take a huge toll on you. Trust me! I go to all of them. But the last Indian convention I attended will always remain a close one to the heart, because it’s in GOA!
Yes, a month back, we attended the 3rd International Goa Tattoo Festival (GTF) in Tito’s, Baga. GTF is one of the most highly attended tattoo conventions in this part of the world, and this year too, it was packed with tattooed people. From world class tattoo artists from all corners of the globe tattooing under the same roof, to Goa’s finest musicians putting up stellar performances, GTF was full of everything you desire in a tattoo convention. And what’s the best way to give you a glimpse of what you missed than some breathtaking photographs, right?!
For GTF 2018, we collaborated with three exceptionally talented photographers and videographers: Tanya Agarwal, Jules Von ChaCha and Anisha Coelho. The idea was to capture the sights, sounds expressions and moments that encapsulate the atmosphere of this unique convention. GTF is unique, simply because it is in Goa. You don’t expect artists to be working all day in Goa. Nor do you expect the general run-of-the-mill tattoo requests from people visiting. The music defines the energy of the place, and the options apart from tattoos and music are also way too many. Here is a collection of photographs from Goa Tattoo Festival 2018 that will leave you with your jaws dropped, and wanting for more. But to know where to find more, scroll on…
