Alix Sacramento, who lives and works in the french town Perpignon, has never been to Nepal yet. Still she knows, what to expect from the country: A culture and tradition, that differs a lot from European ways and opens the eyes for new perspectives, impressions and lessons of life.
Alix will be travelling with her companion Pierre Clotis, who is working with her in their studio Chillink Traditional Tattoo. “One reason, I am coming to Nepal Inked is to exchange on our inspirations with different artists. It will evolve me in my own tattoo culture.”
As many artists, also Alix is looking for the community at Nepal Inked. It has been no secret all over within the scene, that Nepal offers a great environment and draws a certain kind of people. It has been since a long time more a family and close environment rather than a place to show off.
“The diversity of traditional tattoo reflects me.”
When asked, Alix describes her style as a swirl around Traditional Tattoo. Three features of that are a solid, bold lining, whip shading and classic colors. The symbols she works on represent a great diversity of meanings and a vast variety from American to Asian styles.
Alix is embracing all those varieties within her art and creates her own combinations and collages. She has a very unique style and will also stand out with her tattoos in the context of Nepal Inked. It will be great to see, what Alix will bring to the table!
