Disclaimer: the tattoos curated in this collection are not ranked in any manner. They are randomly placed one after the other as the writer is of the opinion that you cannot have the benefit of superlatives like BEST to describe tattoo art.

Now that we have established that the idea of this article is not to tell you which are the best tattoos or tattoo artists in India, let’s move ahead to immerse ourselves in art that not just makes a visual impression and stands out, but lends to the expression of the individual carrying it, and shows you the myriad beauties of the endless universe of tattoos. Some of these following tattoos are breathtaking, some simply unique, some are precision personified, some marvellous, and some are just badass.

The following collection represents artists from different corners of India, who come from different cultural backgrounds, and are bringing this unforeseen diversity in Indian tattooing that are giving people countless options. Their work is validating the wonderful practice of researching about tattoo artists before getting a tattoo. A tattoo is not just a mark, but also an eternal reminder of a decision we take at some point of our lives, and thus it should be worth it. It is thus important to know the artists trying to make a difference.

So, here we go:

This expansive back piece by Subhojit Chakraborty

This piece is very close to my heart, Because this custom piece is a visionary journey which, me and @amit_lalwani, both decided on this piece when we were witnessing the waichin valley. And we both decided to go for a piece which reflect our true nature. Will take another session to refine few areas. Better full frame pictures will be uploaded soon. Thank u for the trust and the whole process. Thank u so so much Amit.
